Love TurboTax! Saves time & avoids headaches

I love TurboTax, and 2015 is no exception. Years ago I used to file a 1040EZ by hand. Now I file a 1040 with itemized deductions and other items. With TurboTax, it is still less of a headache than I remember with paper filing.
What's great about it: Fast, easy to follow, shows updated refund as you go

Slightly Disappointing

I was able to file my Federal taxes however although the product purports to give access to State e filing. This is the 2nd year in a row that I am unable to access the State program which i find totally ridiculous. I need some assistance!!
What's great about it: It makes the tax preparation process simple
What's not so great: The State taxes are a huge mess and have been since last year

This year required more effort

I have been using TurboTax for many years now and find it convenient to use for the most part. This year however I received a 1099misc and not really understanding the meaning of the box to check I kept getting asked for a Schedule C to deal with this income, no until I searched the community did I find the solution in order to avert this schedule C situation. I was just a matter of hitting the box "NO" even though this wasn't entirely the situation.
I am happy with the outcome and will continue to use TurboTax in the future and recommend it to others.
Thanks for making the system easy to use.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: forms get stuck unless you understand the boxs you are checking

Did it Turbo way!

Didn't like that at the prompt boxes they were highlighted in blue for selection and the highlighted box usually was the wrong selection. This required me to stop to re analyze the correct choice. either have them prompt the most likely correct answer or take off the improper highlight.
What's great about it: Carries info from previous years. Program is great and fast if you are prepared for it with your information
What's not so great: highlighted box selection were usually not the one I needed to select.

Need that worksheet

The worksheet used for Federal Service Pension information needs to be put back into Turbo Tax. Those dates of beginning and ending service are very difficult to recall and we have to constantly pull out old Turbo Tax returns in order to enter that information again. These Federal pensions are not treated as if they were salaries on a W2. So by being able to refer back to them each year is helpful. They should pull thru with the data each year to make it easier. Those dates will never change.
What's great about it: so easy to follow for the mos part
What's not so great: The worksheet for Federal Service Pension information as used in 2013 is no longer included in Turbo TAx.
