Mixed results

After doing three returns, we had the same result with page 1 of the state return. It would not print for paper filing or record keeping. It was the not the printer because it was the same page for each return. We also had to print the returns one page at a time. Could not print the whole return at one time.
What's great about it: Questions are easy
What's not so great: Problems printing state returns

Quick and Painless

I'd rather not pay so much in taxes, but if I have to do it, this is a pretty easy way to go.
What's great about it: Easy to use, very thorough
What's not so great: It didn't pull the employer name and address from last years W-2s, but that's a quibble

Easy and Fast

TurboTax is easy to use. It has it set up so each questin has an explanation of how and what is the right answer. If you dont know what to do it is easy to find the correct answer. It downloads quick, everything is secure and it takes little time to enter everything as long as you have all the paperwork with you. It walks you through how to enter student info and helps find all the credits you qualify for.
What's great about it: Very thorough, you dont have to search for answers. They have it set up so you know exactly how to answer the questions

Turbo Tax is simple and easy!

I have been using Turbo Tax for going on 4 years now (basically since I have been "on my own") and I have to say, it's the easiest way to do taxes. One year, I tried a tax company and was told I owed money, then I bought turbo tax and had a refund that year. Another year, I went to another tax agency (they offered a free session to teachers) and I also bought turbo tax that year, and the refund amount was the exact same. I really enjoy using turbo tax because it's cheaper than going to an agency and for people with simple tax returns like me, it makes it quick and easy.
I think that if you have more complicated taxes, turbo tax will be able to help as well- they have a step by step procedure and when you don't know if it applies to you, they usually have a section where it goes into further detail about that tax/deduction in order to give you more information.
Overall, I like to know step by step where my money is going and why. I have more knowledge of my taxes/deductions than if I was going to someone to do it for me. I literally sat in my pajamas on a Saturday and did my taxes in less than an hour. Easy, simple, and knowledgable.
What's great about it: explains everything to you and is very accurate!
What's not so great: you have to do your taxes

Why Don't You Include Query in Step by Step prior to e-filing as to whether I want part of refund to go to next year's estimated taxes. Why do I have to go to Forms to entire this manually before e-filing? Every year I have to remember to do this.

As a retired Tax preparer (exclusively used LaCerte), I'm always hesitant that I'm not current. TT makes sure I don't miss a thing & plenty of help & good explanations makes it a snap.
What's great about it: Doesn't let you miss a thing.

I absoutley love Turbo Tax. We have used it for years and I have complete confidence that Intuit is getting the best refund we can get legally.

Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
