Long Time TurboTax User

I first filed my taxes using this application as a dependent at age 15, and have now been using it for over 15 years. I've only been audited once (when I purchased my first house and didn't adjust my withholdings and I jumped about 9k in tax refund). I don't have much to compare it to, as I've never used another product, but I do feel like it helps me maximize my return.
What's great about it: easy walk-throughs, imports previous tax year (including direct deposit, address, filing status, children etc)
What's not so great: verification check at the end (when going into the actual tax forms) can occasionally be confusing

only one work-around needed

I've used this for many years without problems. Since things change each year, it would be good if there were a memo at the end of each year's program: " Handy tips for next year's return"
e.g. label a number of file folders: 2016 tax, 2016 contributions, 2016 medical (and keep track on this handy form for mileage), etc, Then have an updated checklist at the beginning of the 2016 edition. (for example, I didn't know I'd need driver's licenses to file my return)

What's great about it: straightforward and clear
What's not so great: confusing making corrections on forms
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TMI - Is All That Necessary?

When filing, is the drivers license info for TurboTax only, or is it actually sent to the IRS?
Too many forms are printed. Why the 1040-ES without asking?
Only page one of the MA Tax 2015 Schedule HC needs to be printed, see item 5 on that form.

Easily done

My taxes were done quickly and easy. All you have to do is be very organized and have your paperwork ready to enter the data. Option to download from your vendor web site also available which I found a big benefit for my investment account. I highly recommend TurboTax. Been using it for many years.

Good for years.

I used a paid service to do my taxes the first year I bought my house, over 20 years ago. Since then I used turbotax and I have been able to follow the process without any problems. The first year I went back and forth between the previous years papers to see where items were gotten from and since then everything has been quite easy. I would recommend this product to anyone.
What's great about it: The software appears to cover all the areas needed and explainations are always available.
What's not so great: I did not find anything that I did not like about the product.

Great as Always

We have used TurboTax to do our taxes for the past 6 years. The results have always been positive, and it took all the headaches out of filing our taxes. I couldn't be happier with this product (unless it somehow doubled my return;))
What's great about it: Easy to use, Full of Information
What's not so great: None that I can think of.
