this is my 3rd year using turbo tax-- I love the fact that it pulls the prior years records over and makes your life so much easier when filing your taxes. Already knows your family information (names , etc.) so you are not having to type or fill it out year after year.
Also love the fact that is updated every year with the latest tax laws, and asks questions about things that you may not know were deductible.

What's great about it: walks you difficult things like having kids in college expenses

Too Expensive

I have used Tax Act for the past 6 years. This year I decided to use TurboTax as it is the industry leader. I did not find its interface any easier. I may end up going to TAXACT next year because it is so much cheaper.
What's great about it: thorough
What's not so great: Too Expensive
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I wouldn't use any other program, I have been a turbo tax user for many years and I have never been dissatisfied.
What's great about it: Everything wonderful, tobrotax doesn't stop until they get as much refund as possible for the client
What's not so great: no cons

What's not so great: I recall it used to have more videos to explain some of the tax laws, I used to find these most helpful.
