i didn't feel like I had anything telling me where to find things on other forms like injured spouse. I didn't know there was a separate place to put unemployment w2s so I had to redo that section.

Disappointed in my experience

Not confident in my return due to the fact that the IRS tax tables didn't match up with the numbers that TurboTax calculated. Since call wait time was 1 hour, I was not able to verify how TurboTax calculated my totals. To top it off, I found it irritating that I purchased the software and then had to pay to e-file my state refund-that fee should just be included in purchase price.
What's great about it: Easy to follow steps
What's not so great: Long wait times for consultation, fees for filing state taxes
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Many Years of Happy Use

I've used TurboTax every year since it began. The program is very thorough and cleverly condenses the tax hassle to an easy Q & A session. I can always do my own taxes in just a few hours and have never had to use a tax consultant. That saves a lot of money, and keeps me well informed of the taxing process. The only con that I experienced this year is that the program doesn't clearly distinguish between the various uses for 1099-R forms. I had one for an RMD and several others for regular (monthly) pension payments, but it seemed to treat all of them as RMDs.
What's great about it: Simple to use. Year-to-year data transfer. Saves preparer fees!
What's not so great: Some confusion with handling 1099-R forms

At this price, I will probably go to a private CPA next year!
