Was easy to use and liked how it filled in information from last year. Only issue was I Receive a CP01A with a ID PIN form the IRS and TurboTax failed to ask if I had. Had to resubmit several times before getting it right. You also have to send some documents in to the IRS. Was not clear what to do since wife did not receive ID PIN.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: Did not ask if I had received a ID PIN from the IRS

1st time problemsusually

I had trouble with my pension. This is the first time it would not accept and print the amount taxed. Kept asking me if it was a qualified plan. Been collecting this pension for 20 years never had this problem. . Will actually consider using another type next year
What's great about it: usually easy
What's not so great: changed something on pensions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have been using for last 5 years. Find it to be simple and help me to get back max refunds. Use for my two single daughters who have limited itemization and always quick to do.
What's great about it: Simple and laid out orderly fashion
What's not so great: Health care new and a little confusing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I Love TurboTax

I love to use turbo tax. It's to the point and checks for addition tax breaks for me. Offers assistance if I need to speak to someone or have questions too! I've been using TurboTax for years and I will continue to use it!
What's great about it: It allows me to understand how and why I get a refund
What's not so great: Not a single one

Put buttons at top... as well as bottom of pages

Depending on the monitor people use, once we answer the specific question for the page, we cannot see the buttons to move to the next step. We are forced to scroll to the bottom of each page to see the buttons for the next movement options (ie - Back, Continue, etc...). Can't these buttons also be displayed at the top as well as the bottom of each page to avoid this scrolling.....
Just a thought...
Other than the aforementioned observation....the product is superb.
What's great about it: Quick , easy, best tax product
What's not so great: BACK , CONTINUE, etc.. buttons are only at bottom of each page

I have relied on Turbo Tax for years. Every new year, the program automatically transfers the prior years info, into the new years return. The walk thru steps could not be made any simpler.
When any questions arise, there are multiple avenues to gain the help you would need. Turbo tax makes you the qualified and knowledgeable tax preparer right from your own home. I personally would not go anywhere else.

User Friendly

We don't have income other than wages and interest and we are not self employed and we dont have much unreimbursed work expenses. It is ideal for our situation. I think we've been wasting our money using a tax preparer in the past.
What's great about it: Time and money saver
What's not so great: some deductions and exemptions are not easily understood
