To have to go in a multistep circle to add additional itemized deductions (over and over) is a waste of time. There should be an option to ask "1 more (similar) deduction?"

Reliable DIY tax tool

Overall I really like TurboTax. It's pretty user friendly and I appreciate how info carries over from the previous year. Generally the tips & explanations provided are very helpful.
The educational benefits section could be clearer. It took some trial & error to figure out how to properly enter certain VA benefits and scholarships.
The ItsDeductable tool is really helpful to figure out charitable contributions, but could be much better if it had more items/content to choose from in certain non-cash donation categories, particularly for household goods and toys.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate, info carries over info from previous year
What's not so great: ItsDeductable tool could be more complete
