Almost perfect, but...

Very easy to do my relatively simple tax return.
Since this year's version is attempting to prevent identity theft, it asks for driver's license information.
Unfortunately for me, the state of Washington does not limit their driver's license numbers to only letters and numbers, they also include asterisks (*) - TurboTax would not accept! Very annoying! BAD BAD BAD on Intuit!
What's great about it: Easy to navigate
What's not so great: Wouldn't take my Driver's license #

First Issue With TT in 20 years

Been using TT for decades; yes, almost form the beginning. Never had an issue until this year. Despite having last years data (and multiyear as you'd imagine having used it for decades), TT let me down. TT did not recognize, as it has in years past, that certain lines of the W-2 applied to local school taxes. Here in the not so great state of OH, not only do property taxes (in part) go to schools, local residents can vote the ability to garnish (ummm, tax) one's wages separately JUST for individual school districts. My district taxes income at 1.00%. TT has caught the payments in the past. However, this year I had to hand jam the data to avoid TT saying I owe the state and subsequently passing along my RTN and checking account number to the state to allow them direct access to my account for payment of taxes that were already paid. Very bad and very sad. Will be looking into other avenues next go around.
What's great about it: Still easy for most part
What's not so great: State taxes not up to snuff

As easy as I remember it being in 2013. I will say I tried the online version first and was not happy at all with it. It wasn't nearly as comprehensive, and after entering the exact same information on the desktop version I had a much larger refund. The desktop version is definitely the way to go. I don't feel like I missed any deductions on this return, and I was even able to find some carryover deductions I have missed for several years.
What's great about it: Very easy to complete and felt confident it was done right.
What's not so great: Could have used more information regarding the different types of retirement plans and how they relate to tax/deductions

Assures tax preparation confidence

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and have always found it easy to use; yet very thorough.
A couple of years ago, I convinced my sister to stop paying a tax preparer and use Turbo Tax; she saves about $150 each year!
What's great about it: Simplicity of the preparation process
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TurboTax is much improved since last using it in 2013! When some information changed in the middle of completing my return and I was unsure about my filing status due to the change TurboTax gave me a clear recommendation and saved me an additional 20 minutes of review.
When I had a last minute W-2 to add right before the federal review TurboTax asked me if I had any forms to add and I said yes and it took me to a list of forms, one of which was a W-2, making that form much easier to include even when I was almost done.
