Totally awesome refund

I have used TurboTax for the last 5 years and keep going back to it because it is so easy to use. The software walks you through everything you need to file and then asks questions to make sure you have entered everything so you can get the largest refund possible.
What's great about it: this was so easy to use and navigate through.
What's not so great: there are not any cons that I found
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Took less than 2 hours for federal and state

Although I enjoy math, it is nice not to have to do any of the worksheets. I believe this is my 5th or 6th year of filing electronically, and specifically of using TurboTax, and I would not go back to the old way. My only concern is that it sometimes can be confusing when asking for motor vehicle taxes both on the federal and state forms, and tuition expenses can be confusing when scholarships or employer assistance is entered. Otherwise, this went by quickly and fairly painlessly this year!
What's great about it: No math!
What's not so great: Repetitive information requests

Awesome and easy to understand

Very easy to use but just remember that if it doesn't look right to your first impression it may not be right. Go back and read the questions again and check your forms again to make sure you are putting in correct information.
What's great about it: If you can read, you can fle your own return
What's not so great: Having to scroll down from beginning everytime I go back to return instead of starting back where I had stopped.

Takes the work our of tax prep

I've been using TurboTax for years and intend to continue. Installation is a breeze and then one can work on the return little by little, as the mood strikes. If I have most of the 1099s, W2s, etc., I enter them, estimating one or two that are still missing to get a good idea what to expect, as I am always curious. One can then go back and select a section to edit as forms come in. I never take more than four hours (once supporting documentation is gathered) to complete and eFile my tax returns and I have two W2s, rental income and several 1099s. I split the time into two or three shorter sessions. Piece of cake?
What's great about it: Very simple instructions
What's not so great: None come to mind

After using TurboTax for the last 5 years, I thought I would change it up a bit and try H & R block. After trying to use their product, I promptly went online and purchased Turbo Tax and filed my return. Always a great product.
What's great about it: Very easy to use.
What's not so great: None.

I've "done my own" fairly complicated taxes for years and years, mostly on paper and recently on the computer with fillable forms. I know how and what I can deduct so it was reassuring that Turbo did the math for me and checked what I did. Turbo even found a better way for me to deduct education expenses. I feel much better having the Turbo back up to what I would have filed on my own.
What's great about it: quick and easy
What's not so great: made me type in a lot of info
