HAVE USED TURBO TAX FOR OVER 10 YEARS. ALWAYS SATISFIED WITH RESULTS. ALSO ALWAYS PURCHASE TAX AUDIT DEFENSE.

New rules require better instructions

This version of Turbo Tax is the most difficult I have ever used - and that covers several years worth. The Health Insurance statements did not transmit correctly to the forms and I had to manually go into the forms themselves to make the corrections. If I had not done this I would have been reported as not having insurance for the full year.
The forms for the Identification Protection and fraud reporting are interesting but not applicable to people that have had fraud problems in the past and that have been resolved by the IRS fraud unit.. The deletion of this form was problematic because the instructions for this action were very difficult to follow (unless you were the programmer that set up the process.) The words used did not appear anywhere in the areas where the changes were to be made or the path way leading to the change area.
The need for corrections and deletions added almost 3 hours to the process.

What's great about it: The program still covers tax problems expertly
What's not so great: The help and reference guides do not adequately describe the screens or actions needed to make changes or corrections.

What's great about it: Still easy to navigate and find answers to your questions.
What's not so great: Having to re-enter credit card info every year

Hard Work Simplified

Turbo Tax does so much of the work for you that it makes doing your taxes feel like not such a chore. It searches for every deduction automatically for you so that you are not spinning your wheels trying to find where and how to get all this needed information. The program walks you through the process step by step and double checks for errors along the way. I definitely recommend Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Makes a difficult process seem so much easier.

Total Distribution box is vague! I interperated it to mean for this tax year. NOT!
Suggest you change or add another box.

My return was more complex than past years but filing was just as easy as it was in previous years plus no surprise extra fees.
What's great about it: Walk through with very clear explanations of where to obtain correct information

Easy to follow instructions and easy to understand. Would recommend it to anyone, especially those not sure go for it. It is cheaper than those others that you pay for and get the same results.
