Done with filing Federal!

I am sending my state return by mail as I could not get to your payment website to pay for filing state electronically. This has never happened before in all my years of using TurboTax. Very frustrating.
What's great about it: Very easy to do your taxes. Have been doing it for years.
What's not so great: Could not file State electronically.

Very Easy

Excellent product for getting through this tedious requirement each year. Have tried couple of other programs, but quickly returned to TurboTax & have stayed with it for past 10+ years.
What's great about it: Steps one through the tax filing process with ease & confidence.
What's not so great: Have not experienced any problems over the years.

Highly Recommended. Have been using Turbo-Tax for over 10 years and having all of the previous years personal and tax information is a tremendous plus.
What's great about it: Personal and tax information collected from prior year's Turbo-Tax use.
What's not so great: None

More time consuming if you work in CT & live in MA

I've always loved using Turbo Tax except for the past few years. Having to do a separate Federal return as married filing separately just to do a Connecticut State return for my husband who works there but lives in Massachusetts is soooo time consuming and very unclear. I always feel uneasy as to whether I'm doing it right or not. It should be an easier process.
What's great about it: pretty easy to navigate
What's not so great: unclear and incomplete steps when you have to file a separate fed tax return if you work in Connecticut but live in Mass
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Long term capital gain (loss) was confusing

When faced with an error upon review, it is difficult to find the proper answer; when you do not quite know what the problem is. Attempts to make corrections directly to a worksheet often are not readily apparent.
What's great about it: I and my accountant have used Turbo Tax for many years
What's not so great: Up selling of upgrades

great tool

I've used TurboTax for over 12 years. I'm very pleased with it. The tax forms used are always current, thanks to the automatic updating feature. I know I can depend on TurboTax to provide step by step guidance from start to finish. I feel confident that I am getting all of the deductions I am entitled to, and I know that TurboTax does a thorough review of my federal and State returns before they are automatically submitted for me. I also like the fact that TurboTax informs me as soon as my returns have been officially been accepted by the IRS and NY State.
What's great about it: step by step guidance ... automatically imports info from last year's return ... automatically updates tax forms
What's not so great: software is a little expensive
