Turbo Tax makes it simple

We have to pay foreign taxes on a pension AND we do not receive a 1099 from the issuer. Turbo Tax walks me through the extra steps and forms I need to get credit for taxes paid and to file a substitute 1099.
What's great about it: Addresses all of my tough questions
What's not so great: Sometimes takes a second try to get more complicated forms completed correctly

I allowed the Turbo Tax program to advise the recording of all revenues,and deductions. The program was able to fine all of my unusual revenues and deduction. I was very satisfied with you recent modifications to Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: The Turbo Tax program showed all steps necessary to complete my tax return very quickly.
What's not so great: I had no problems with the program.

Need for soft intelligence expansion

Home energy credit section. When it comes to furnace/hot water heater improvements....the software must be set up to ask particular energy rating questions to determine IF the furnace/hot water heaters qualify. I had to go to the actual IRS publication to get the parameters for qualification.

Quick and Easy!

The ability to copy previous year's information and make current year changes quickly is extremely efficient. Allows new taxes to be calculated in a very short period of time.

What's great about it: Easy to use, clear, uploads from previous years, lots for form helps.
What's not so great: Wasn't clear which version I needed (Deluxe or Premier)
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Anybody that has any interest in what taxes are & how they work should be able to follow the leader & use Turbo to complete their taxes....

2015 Tax Review

I liked that it let me ask questions about some of the papers I had a copy of that I only needed to keep a copy of but that I didn't need to add any data into the system. I also liked that it showed me the areas I had data in from the prior return, that maybe I missed or the information was no longer needed.
