Easy

I have been using turbo tax for 19 years. It has improved overtime (it now has explicit questions that anyone can understand) and I find it so much easier to complete! Also I love the new security features it prompts you to go through before submitting your taxes.

decent enough

decent. previous years were better. When I had to enter by SS and box1 it didn't pull over my info like the previous years. not sure why. also, on the foreign tax credit part.. $7... no explanation of this. Not sure if I did it right.
What's great about it: walks you step by step
What's not so great: seemd different than last year
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Tax Refund On its Way

Overall it was very easy to use. Had a little challenge with entering the 1099 MISC but after going to FAQ and help

Can't imagine not using it, especially now

Our tax return took longer to do this year because we have a small pension to factor in, plus a health savings account. Turbo Tax walked me through all of it. The only time I needed more information was when it asked what type of pension it was. It gives a list to choose from, but offers no pop-up help to explain what they mean or where to get the answer. For example, if it asks you about alternative minimum tax, it give you a pop-up that helps you quickly decide yes or no. We soon-to-be pensioners would appreciate the extra help!
What's great about it: Accounts for Obamacare requirements and health savings plans
What's not so great: Needs more than just a list of types of pensions

Feedback for first time user

Need to use it couple of times to get a feel. Would be great help if I could talk to a live person when I got stuck. I had to figure out on my own.
What's great about it: Easy to follow questions
What's not so great: Got stuck on error message on a form

Finally got to file for my refund

Started by using the online Turbo Tax Federal Return. After completing and going to 2 state returns, the program sent me to an instructional website to use married filing separately, which required me to go to the intuit download website and purchase the filing programs. It suggested I create "mock returns" for my spouse and I (we filed federal jointly) to separate expenses.
After completing one state return it switched me back to married filing jointly to save more funds. It took more than 2 days, and nearly caused me to walk away from the whole approach. I think Intuit should stick with one way to acquire their tax program to avoid this next year!!

What's great about it: Programs up to date and detailed Q&A saved a lot of time in completing my returns

Same ol Reliable

It sucked that we had to go to the green guy last year cause some bone head tried to squeeze an extra dollar from the loyal users. I still did not get the state form to print the form to mail.
