Turbo Tax is FANTASTIC!!

This year our income knocked us up to a higher bracket so our refund went down. Turbo tax explained why and what we can do to lower our taxable income therefore lowering our taxes.
What's great about it: Explained everything in detail
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Necessary Evil

1. High cost of program and nags you to pay more
2. Doesn't transfer all information to state, i.e., had to manually record children's SSNs
3. After saying go ahead to file Federal electronically, but not the state, the program didn't go back to file my state return!
4. Why when we are already overpaying do we have to pay even more to file the state return electronically and for 1000% what it costs Intuit!

I have used Turbo Tax for years and have been quite satisfied with the software.
What's great about it: Steps were very easy to follow. Turbo does all the work.
What's not so great: The State form was more difficult

Overall a very good product. I have used turbotax for many year and it seems to get better each year.
What's great about it: detailed and easy to use
What's not so great: The wording in info boxes is sometimes confusing and having to scroll through completed nsections before going on is ted

I have used Turbo Tax for over 10 years. I have never had a problem and think the instructions are clear, and very easy to follow. Now that my grandsons are old enough to work, I do their taxes also. Very easy to use.
