It would be great if on all areas, when you complete a section it would take you to the next vice having to scroll down to get to the next section
What's great about it: Pretty easy
What's not so great: Navigation

easy walk-through program but...

Always seem to have trouble getting the R.I.T.A. city tax correct. Turbo Tax program automatically fills in dates for estimated payments. Should just leave date section blank so the preparer does not have to erase dates and then fill in the actual dates. Also, this year I discovered a date and amount showed up from a previous year so it appeared that I was due a refund. Luckily, I discovered the error before filing. I do not have these problems with the federal, state, nor school district programs- just the R.I.T.A forms. I end up doing the R.I.T.A. taxes on the R.I.T.A website but then that makes next year's Turbo Tax wrong when I transfer info to the new year's Turbo Tax.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I've been using Turbo Tax for years and well satisfied. Keep making it easy to file!
What's great about it: compares year before and shows history of all Taxes filed
What's not so great: should show what the difference from previous yr in $$ for each section.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

It's a Habit!

Since the government ceased publishing and providing booklets and forms (for free), it is the sensible way to accomplish the dreaded task annually.
What's great about it: Great guidance and simple to accomplish
What's not so great: Sorry we have to pay for the something that the government used to provide for free.

Fast & Easy

Even if you know zero about the tax system, Turbo Tax lays it all out, in layman's terms the who, what, where, and why, of how the system works. The tax system is very daunting to most of us but when it is "spoon fed" to you in understandable bites, the mystery is gone and you are through before you know it. I can't think of a more efficient and cost effective way to get this annual chore out of the way.
What's great about it: Took me by the hand and walked me through the process
What's not so great: None

In the many years I have used Turbo Tax I have not had this problem. I was not able to find a way to mail my state tax. I may have overlooked something.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Maybe my fault

quick to complete, but lacking one entity

How to enter voluntary federal income tax withheld should not be a question. Please just include that entity, so one does not have to hunt for it by asking a question about where to enter. The situation of needing to enter this arises frequently with those of us receiving social security.
What's great about it: sensible
What's not so great: social security voluntary federal income tax withheld not titled
