BUT THAT IS NOT THE PROGRAM'S FAULT IT FOUND ALL THE DEDUCTIONS IT COULD. I GOT A CALMING FEELING KNOWING ALL IS RIGHT FOR ANOTHER YEAR.

Long Time Turbo Tax User

I have been filing my own taxes for about 25 years, and I switched over to Turbo tax about a dozen years ago. For the first couple of years (When I was single and a renter) I would actually do both Turbo Tax and by hand just to make sure Turbo Tax was doing it right. I gave up after validating the accuracy of Turbo Tax results.
Since that time, year over year filing taxes is really easy as it imports key pieces of data (dependents, income and deduction sources from prior years returns. Giving me quick visibility into what I did last year allows for a baseline view to ensure I remember what I did last year along with taking into account differences in this year. This a key functional point that allows me to enjoy a chaos and worry free time filing my taxes while intermixed with my busy schedule now that I am married with children, a homeowner with many extra curricular activities.
Another key Intuit application that I use in conjunction with Turbo Tax is ItsDeductible. I utilize this application throughout the year to track donations. Doing incremental updates during the year and then just importing the ItsDeductible entries during tax filing time completely eliminates going through all those receipts at the end of they year.
Excellent all around products!!
What's great about it: Easy, Accurate, detailed and did I say Easy
What's not so great: A bit difficult to navigate into the nitty gritty details for experienced users.

Problem with updates

I had to go to the TurboTax web page to manually download the software updates.
Business deductions worksheet for self-employed taxes did not appear until I did the final review when TurboTax checked for errors.
Otherwise, it worked just like past years and was easy to use.
