I recommend turbo tax to all my friends. it is thorough and makes doing my taxes very easy.
What's great about it: this progam is easy to install and maintain
What's not so great: not enough real world suggestion/examples

Still Great After All These Years

2015 Deluxe

Pretty good. I'll continue to use it, however there were a lot of extra questions this year and it took much longer. Plus so many times I was asked if I wanted to upgrade and/or purchase extra services.
What's great about it: Easy
What's not so great: Not as easy to use as 2014. Lots of extra questions.

Not intuitive

In quick check, requested additional info but there was no way to find out what it meant without going all the way back to the original page and starting all over and still not understanding. On the state tax it asked if I wanted to print the estimated tax forms, I did. The program printed them again with the return. I tried to file by e-file and was willing to pay for TWO additional states' returns but no matter how I tried to get a pin, it said the information did not fit their records. So I printed out all 39 pages and will mail my return. With the additional costs Turbotax keeps adding each year, I think I can afford a CPA next year.
What's not so great: extra printing, lack of explanation

I have previously used professional services and TaxCut but I feel more confident with TurboTax than with any other option. This is my 3rd year to use it and I don't even consider other choices anymore.
What's great about it: Easy to use, thorough

Great product for a first time solo tax filer!
What's great about it: Easy to use and was able to auto-upload lots of forms
What's not so great: Could support taking information from platforms in addition to Mint (Personal Capital, others). Would be an improvement.

What's great about it: detailed oriented; doesn't miss a stop along the way; covers anything and everything
What's not so great: very long process; not able to retrieve past years online tax info
