Mostly Good

The program worked great, right up until e-filing. Due to the cost to e-file with the state, I elected to have my credit card charged. The system kept saying it couldn't process my request. I ended up e-filing the federal and mailing the state. It was definitely a problem with the system, because the information was entered correctly. After double-checking and re-trying approximately a dozen times, with 2 different cards, it seemed to be a system problem. If not for this problem, I would have rated 5 stars.
What's great about it: Was fairly easy to use. Walked us through everything.
What's not so great: Wouldn't take my credit card payment for state e-file.

Excellent experience

This past year our tax return was bound to be complicated by a home purchase, family illnesses and a move. I was concerned about what it might look like at tax time. Instead, it was quite easy, and I'm confident that our return is accurate, inclusive and will be handled as all others in the past--competently.
What's great about it: I liked the thoroughness and detail of the questions and prompts
What's not so great: None--navigation was easy.

Great Product

I have been using TurboTax for over 10 years to do my family's tax returns. The product is very intuitive and easy to use and I look forward to do their taxes without any trepidation regarding new tax laws. Thank you!

Step by step tax guide for the do it your selfer

I used to do my taxes the old fashion way: paper. I would have everything spread out over the kitchen and it would take 1-2 days. I can pull everything together and file in 5 hours. I know the math and process is dependable and accurate. Next year I will use the Its Deductible free program all year long so I can import automatically at time of taxes. This will be more efficient. Turbo Tax is making doing taxes not so arduous, almost enjoyable!
What's great about it: Fast. Easty. Explains every step.Can do it myself. Love Its Deductable program. Keeps running tally as you enter. Efile!
What's not so great: The first year was unsure. Each year is smoothier. I am now confidnet in my ability to do my own taxes, correctly!
