Its Always Something

would have been helpful if the fact that the software was not properly released to print Ohio Tax form IT 1040. very frustrating to not be alerted that i could not yet print out my Ohio return until another update for Ohio taxes would need to installed in 5 days on feb.19th. as i was searching for this answer i did see that googling for an answer was easier than searching for answers within TurboTax
What's great about it: nice tax prep software
What's not so great: took me hours to figure out why DO NOT FILE was imbedded in the printing of my Ohio Refund

I had very simple to follow directions and I went through the process somewhat quickly.

Quick & Easy

It would be nice to include all of the form names and numbers when you fill out the firms in the step-by-step method. Another thought is to provide the option of include a checklist of forms we've received and only cover those. Then you can ask the additional questions afterwards. This way it speeds things up for us.
What's great about it: All of the forms I need in one easy, step-by-step process.
What's not so great: Still could be cheaper

Another easy year of filing taxes

After working with a tax preparer in the mid nineties, I found that TurboTax does the same if not more than the preparer did. The great thing about TurboTax is that it remembers things from one year to the next and reminds you to enter that information again, something the preparer did not do every time. After having worked with TurboTax for over ten years I know exactly what I records I need to keep and can finish my taxes in a few hours. As an added bonus, any donations made throughout the year can be put into Its Deductible and all that information is automatically inserted into the tax form.
What's great about it: Reviews every line on the tax form in an easy to understand format
What's not so great: can be lacking on explanation within program

I have used Turbo Tax for over 10 years and am impressed with it every year. It is easy to navigate through, helps me with all my deductions for both Federal and State and is very accurate.
I recommend it to any one who has been frustrated by the other one (you know which one!) or are spending too much paying some guy to do them.

Thank goodness for Turbo Tax

I will continue to use Turbo Tax as long as I can trust it to cover all the basic tax conditions that a normal retired person needs.
