I have been using Turbo Tax for years, and each year it gets easier and easier....Great Job....Very simple to use and doesn't take very long at all to file your returns.
What's great about it: Easy to use

Don't like summary page repeats

in the beginning, it asks if I want to walk through each item or search on my own. When I select walk me through, I expect it to do that.
I do not like that after each section, it shows the summary (or progress so far). Then I have to scroll to the bottom to find the continue button.
How about instead, just move on to the next category after I finish one instead of showing the summary page in between each.
Or at least put a continue to next button at the top of the page.
Showing the summary after each category just slows down the process - hate it.

What's great about it: Explains tax terms - very easy to use
What's not so great: some items are repetitive
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax has been my advisor for about 6 years - I think it totally digs and finds all deductions and the biggest refund out there for me
Simple to load and run
till someone shows me a better program I will continue to use Turbo Tax
Have no fear it walks you thru the entire tax nightmare and leaves you feeling secure in that it will be done right

Great...Again!!!

If you can read with even a mild degree of comprehension, you can use this program easily and quickly. (Well, assuming you've bothered to gather the required documents) I've been using TurboTax for more than 15 years and simply can't say enough good things about it.
What's great about it: It's simple, walks you through by the hand step-by-step, couldn't be easier
What's not so great: None

Easy tax prep

Most taxpayers take standard deductions and have simple income. TurboTax is great for these folks and saves money on prep and filing. The Tax Code, in general, is sooo complex that if your income, deductions, expenses, etc are not simple you better get professional help at some point. TurboTax does a good job of getting you to a point where you realize you will need one-on-one help. This is not a criticism of TurboTax. It is a criticism of The Tax Code.
What's great about it: I liked having previous years data available for transfer. Saves lots of time, especially for a non typist.
What's not so great: Great for simple income, simple deductions, but anything else will be difficult
Pros: I bought or sold investments

TurboTax is the way to go...especially if you do not understand all of the complexities of the US tax code.
The only drawbacks to me:
1. Unclear on initial restart of the program after 2015 tax update search
2.Some of the HSA info (new to me), became confusing at times. I am not sure what was missing, but I had to read and re-read the options...
Definitely happy with everything else overall. Great value for the cost and online benefits.

Consistently Useful

Since I have used TurboTax year after year, it is easy to import my prior year's info and zip through the questions to input current amounts. The only cause for concern is that when I go back day after day to input new info, it seems to have lost my answers to basic questions (e.g. "do you have a foreign acct", "were you covered by health ins") which does not inspire confidence. This year I had to stop minutes before filing my return and resubmit info that had disappeared!
What's great about it: Easy to follow question/answer format
What's not so great: Information is lost and must be re-entered
