Did not sufficiently explain why only a portion of my state refund why taxable income this year. In previous years all of my state refund was taxable (using TT), which means either there was a change in tax law or TT was not properly accounting for the portion in previous years. In either case, something's up?
What's great about it: Efficient
What's not so great: Doesn't like exceptions

Missing Detail Messages

At the time I completed my Federal and State returns, my state had not yet finalized their forms. I efiled my Federal return, but could not print and file my State return because it was marked DO NOT FILE FORM NOT FINALIZED. I had to chase around in the Help topics to find out why. It would have saved me a lot of frustration if an MEANINGFUL message had popped inside the program.
What's great about it: Mostly easy to enter data
What's not so great: Error messages are missing

Yearly your product is awesome. Still too lengthy. I am always having to go find something. If you would have an intro screen describing the items that someone needs to have their tax information available beforehand, it would be beneficial.

Painless Process for Most Part

Although the process is relatively painless, I did experience an issue in finding guidance to resolve an apparent issue during the review process. Specifically, Form W-2G for Gambling winnings. During the screening process, Turbo Tax said box 18, Locality Name was missing but it wasn't entered on the form I received from the casino. The topic on their site had a lot of inquiries but unclear direction for resolving the issue. I did finally find the solution by going back through the entering data process, but it was a frustrating process.
What's great about it: Great process for walking you through the steps to ensure you're getting the maximum refund.
What's not so great: Frustrating process for finding how to fix an error.
