I have used TurboTax for several years. The computer I used last year crashed and all I had for backup was a PDF file. TurboTax says it can transfer information from competitors PDF files, but not from their own. I am hoping to find the correct file to use as backup this time. Also, I had to enter the same information concerning an HSA account in two different areas of the tax preparation. I think it should have automatically copied over.
What's great about it: Generally it was very easy to follow.
What's not so great: Could not transfer information from last years PDF file.

Turbo Tax Deluxe Review

I have been using Turbo tax for years and love it. I wish it would not keeping asking me if I want to do state income tax when I did not buy the combine federal and state software.
What's great about it: Like that it will check all option to maxi. my refund.
What's not so great: Not easy to search

This will be the last year for turbo tax. The hidden payments for email are annoying. I have used turbo tax for 15 years. I will look for an alternative next year.

Great Refund - have used Turbo Tax for years

I have used this product for many, many, years. In some years I have had complicated returns, and some no so complicated. However, I have always been able to complete my returns in one day once I have assembled all the necessary information.
What's great about it: easy, easy, easy
What's not so great: occasionally confusing statements
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Bought a 2nd home this year and struggled with deductions
What's great about it: Easy to folllow instructions for basis return
What's not so great: Not easy if non standard exceptions

How can TurboTax figure things out in hours that the IRS takes weeks to fix? 5 years in a row, easy to use, no issues - expect my refund in days!
