Issues with 1099 MISC

I had some errors that kept popping up even though I deleted information. It took a while to find out what was wrong and I am still not sure I corrected it correctly. Schedule C's are a pain.
What's great about it: Easy over all
What's not so great: hard to navigate when things popped up that were unfamiliar

My husband turned 70 1/2 this year. It would have been nice to have a worksheet option included to help answer the required questions. I had to go on line to find out more.
Interest from the bank of $10 or less is not reported. Just discovered that after all these years.
Thanks. I will continue to use Turbo Tax!

Quick and Easy

I have used this product for years. I just like doing taxes. I usually only spend a couple hours to complete them. I usually have my return in 2-3 weeks. Then I forget about it until the year. Thanks for the great product.
What's great about it: It will ask all the questions, you simply answer the questions
What's not so great: Sometimes not all of the financial organizations are listed in the drop downs and you have to type things in yourself.

Not Living Up To Its Name

You have got to get your credit card system figured out.
At least offer an alternative that works. Very frustrated when you want to finish and the credit card won't process until you enter the same info 3 times.

TurboTax is a good program to use to prepare taxes. It walks the user through various scenarios to determine the best approach. I recommend it.
What's great about it: Walk-through step-by-step
What's not so great: Tedious tasks, but necessary
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Return to Quality

Turbotax is consistently the best software out there for doing your taxes. I believe it's every bit as accurate as going to an accountant or tax professional at a cheaper cost.
I've long said the hardest part about doing your taxes is gathering your paperwork organized AND you have to do that whether you do your taxes yourself or if you hire a tax service or accountant to do them for you ... SO ... You might as well save yourself a ton of money and use Turbotax.
Last year Turbotax hiccuped and made the bad decision to chop the Schedule D entry paperwork out of the Deluxe version ... this year IT'S BACK! Great job, Intuit for resuming this useful and essential feature!
What's great about it: Fast, easy, accurate, and helpful. Free to E-file Feds. And best yet Schedule D included.
What's not so great: Reasonable cost ... especially compared to the pros, but would love to have the state e-File free, too!
