Great Product

Been using this since 2003 and have never had a problem. I've kept all data records if I need to go back for any reason. It's also great for any comparative analysis if needed. I had to make a phone call for assistance last year and was very impressed with the professionalism of the customer service rep. He handled everything in a very efficient manner even calling later to follow up to see if everything went well. Great job TurboTax!
What's great about it: Easy to use with the guided steps. Caught a couple of items I would have missed.
What's not so great: Always doing updates every time you open. Once I've filed, could there be an update that would cause a change?

Made Complicated Taxes Easy

Turbo Tax goes above and beyond making the hard part of taxes easy and bearable. If it wasn't for this software I'm pretty sure by now I would have had a mental breakdown at tax time :)
What's great about it: step by step walkthrough with explanations were easy to understand
What's not so great: Cost
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

lots of work needed before next year

wow...you guys have lots to work on for next year....
I have used TurboTax for at least 10 years, and this has been the worst experience by far.
First the encryption used on the 2015 software made loading previous returns from 2014 impossible. I had to load the 2014 software, load my return, save a copy without encryption...then load 2015 and open the encryption-less return. I understand you're trying to make things more difficult for identity theft, but you are affecting your paying customers.
Then when I had completed the 2015 return, I was unable to pay because of your online store being down.
After being on hold with 2 different people for an hour and a half, neither of them being able to help or understand what I was even talking about, the last representative could not simply help me pay my state fee by phone. Even though that is something they are apparently able to do. Both of them seemed confused and bewildered by the very software they are supposed to be able to help customers with.

Do you hire temps for the help desk during tax season?
This experience had led me to seek alternative tax preparation for next year.

I thought I could re-use my first software purchase of TurboTax for 5 e-files, however, my 2014 never updated when installed. Very disapointing as i was hoping to save money
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: You have to keep buying the software each year

What's not so great: i had to load 1 broker manually, you picked up some but not all accounts with the automated system
