Taxes Files Easy

The ability to see last years information makes it much easier to file because my tax situation doesn't change much from year to year.
I wish the state electronic filing was included at no extra cost but I print the copies and mail them in.

Easy to use and all the average person needs to file taxes if they have their paper work on hand like in a handy file

It's always worked for me

I have been using Turbo Tax for about 10 years, the import of last year's return simplifies the whole process greatly. The questions make sense, and the options to "guide me through" or "let me do it myself" ease the whole process. I no longer live in a state with income tax, but when I did, the tight coupling of the state return with the federal saved hours of transferring data. Overall, it's my "go to" for tax prep.

Great Software

very easy to use. I have been using it for several years now.
I would like to see some sort of "frequent buyer" program that allows me to buy it at a lesser price.

Good, but not perfect

I was very happy, this year I was excited for some new credits that I apparently didn't qualify for. However TurboTax did not tell me why I didn't qualify for them. I wish I knew why.
What's great about it: Does everything fairly easily
What's not so great: It misses out on explaining why you don't qualify for some credits

Overall would recommend this product. Let's you do up to 5 individual returns with product.
What's great about it: Carefully steps you through the categories of income and other revenue forms
What's not so great: takes a while to load

I was a victim of identity theft in the 2013 tax year.
This is the second year in a row that I was unable to file electronically.
The IRS issued a 6 digit PIN # to use on my return. Turbo Tax only accepts 5 digit #'s.
Even after following the Turbo Tax instructions for 6 digit #'s several times, I was unsuccessful.
