I like TurboTax very much. For 23 years!

I have not had any problems with the IRS since I started using TurboTax 23 years ago. You do not want to meet the IRS in your dark alley. Ever.
What's great about it: Easy to use.
What's not so great: Does not pour wine very well.

Easiest way to get taxes done

I've always had great outcomes when using Turbo Tax. Even though I'm just a lay person when it comes to preparing taxes, Turbo Tax makes it easy to prepare your own taxes step by step.
In the past, I sold stocks and had no idea how to report the sale or record losses etc. I was able to figure it out and prepare it correctly based off the Turbo Tax instructions.

What's great about it: inexpensive, information is easy to read, work at your own pace
What's not so great: possibility of missing something- based off lack of knowledge

Easy Enough for anyone

Doing my taxes with Turbo Tax is a breeze. They take all the headache out of the process. I feel confident that my return is in proper order when Im done.

Convenient But Pricey!

What's great about it: It is fairly easy to use, especially if you have used turbo tax in previous years.
What's not so great: It is expensive. The cost is high enough with a "free state" but then you have to pay additional to efile.

I did not find an 800 number to call. I had a question about would I be using standard deductions or itemizing... turned out Std Deduction was the right way to go... But I had to dig out everything and enter it. If I knew the limits or amounts I would have had to have to do sched A/B I could have saved myself some time and effort.
What's great about it: pulled info from prior years forms
What's not so great: I changed from Windows to a Mac. The Mac does not have a CD reader. I used the older computer to complete the taxes
