'back' feature tends to forget previous instruction, "not to E-file State Return. (A TurboTax ploy?)
What's great about it: A-Okay
What's not so great: lacks preparation of next years Estimanated Tax

What's great about it: Excellent, job of leading me through everything
What's not so great: The aspect of the housing allowance for ministers is very muddy. You have to find it after the fact.

YOU CAN DEPEND ON TURBOTAX!

Guaranteed maximized refunds, pays attention to every detail, gives you options to browse it's categories or select your own which can save you time. Saves you hundreds of dollars that you might pay using a professional preparer. I feel safe with TurboTax. I have used them for years.
What's great about it: Thorough, efficient, reliable to be accurate every time.
What's not so great: No cons to mention about this product

Easy but too many pay points

I like the ease of the process and that it carrys the information from one year to the next, cutting down on work of entering data.
However, this year I moved states and had file 2 state tax returns. I wish that I could have had all those costs charged at one time or maximum of 2 transactions. Instead of 3 separate transaction.
What's great about it: Remembers precious returns
What's not so great: Had to pull out my credit card 3 times.

social security confusion

Turbo Tax is great. I have been using it for years. Had a problem this year. I retired in Jan 2015. When I saw my taxable income, I was very confused by how low it was. It took me several hours to figure it out. I now know about the exclusion of some SS from tax. If this was explained when it showed up, it would have saved me a lot of time and worry. Just a statement like "why is this so low?" would have helped .
What's great about it: very easy to use
What's not so great: not enough explanation of numbers that don't look right
