Very easy to file

This is the 5th year I've used Turbo Tax and it gets easier every year. I recommend it every year and get at least one more person to try Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: ease in filing, great assistance during return process

Railroad Retirement benefits are taxable and it was difficult to distinguish between taxable and non-taxable RR benefits. Problem is continuous year to year. I have used Turbo tax for 5 years +, and I always get a letter 2 years later owing more tax monies to the IRS with additional interest. Turbo Tax / Intuit needs to revise formulas.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate
What's not so great: To brief of Explaination on RRtax vs SS tax. need more features
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I will use Turbotax every year. I love how it pulled previous year's info so I didn't have to dig for it myself. This also made year to year comparisons easy.

Professionally Done

Excellent software that is easy to use, thorough and precise. Effectively leads a non tax expert, such as me, through the process. If one simply reads the screen prompts and follows the instructions anyone can file their own taxes both federal and state. Nicely done, Intuit.
What's great about it: Anticipated my questions/concerns and up popped the answer.
What's not so great: Nothing worth mentioning

Simple and Painless

TurboTax makes filing your taxes a simple and straightforward process. The explanations of the specific topics and questions are great. The step by step walkthrough makes quick work of an otherwise arduous task. I highly recommend TT to those who haven't given it a shot.
What's great about it: Step by step instructions and explanations when I needed them.
What's not so great: Sometimes software is picky with OS on computer.

Easiest Program to Use

Been using Turbo Tax for over 15 years now and it is still the easiest program to use. It is intuitive, and right on the mark as it walks you through all the questions. Anyone can do their taxes with Turbo Tax. My only complaint is the fact that I can only do 5 e-files of returns! I wish they would push that limit up to 8 or 10 e-files. I say that because, although I am not a professional tax preparer, I do have a big family, with all the kids now working, and they come to me to do their taxes. It is especially difficult here in New York where I reside that New York State now requires that all returns be filed via e-file. Turbo Tax will not allow me to e-file a State return alone without the Federal return also being e-filed. If I reach the programed limit of 5 e-files, I am stuck having to print and mail, which slows down the refund process, "if due a refund", and forces me to go around the New York State requirement of e-filing. I hope this can get fixed with new legislation in the future for us "bigger" families. Otherwise, GREAT program. Thank You

What's not so great: Limitation of the number of e-files allowed.

I've used Turbo Tax and its predecessors for so long I can't imagine needing or using anyone or anything else!
What's great about it: easy and reliable
What's not so great: this is the last year for XP users
