I file receipts and other tax information in a file during the year. When I install TurboTax I can finish the complete federal and state process in a few hours - not days as in the past.
What's great about it: Love the fast refund

Taxes made easy

Program was easy as it always is, Charges for the E-file of the state and the additional charge to pay for the e-file by deducting those charges from my refund are not very nice, those charges should be based on the amount of the refund or payment due if any.
What's great about it: Easy to Do
What's not so great: Charges for State E-file

US 1040 good - Problems with Oregon form!

I went throught the federal stuff without a hitch - but, the Oregon section had no place to enter the estimated taxes that I paid for 2015, and I went back and forth several times. I had to go to the worksheet itself to enter the amounts paid. Bad programmer! I knocked off a star for that one.
What's great about it: Generally easy to follow the instructions
What's not so great: Oregon missing section for estimated taxes paid!

I have used Turbo Tax for many years now and it is not only simple to use, but it also helps you to get the maximum refund available!!
What's great about it: Walks you through step by step.

Taxes Were Easy, Filing Was Not

My desire was to E-file my Federal tax return, and to file my State tax return by mail. TurboTax did not allow me to do this, and by the time I found out, I had already E-filed my Federal tax return and I was not given the option to simply change my State filing system from E-file to mail.
What's great about it: Explained Returns and Options Clearly
What's not so great: Twisted my arm into paying for filing my State tax return

Turbo Tax comes through AGAIN

I have been using TurboTax for years. The fact that TT keeps track of previous returns is extremely helpful especially if you are working with IRA contributions and withdrawals.
The prompts are also very helpful as I would have forgotten or simply not known to include a number of items as deductions.

What's great about it: Very easy to use and the continuity of using TurboTax yearly really pays off.

Love TurboTax!!!

Each year I use TurboTax I learn more about my tax situation and am able to plan accordingly for the upcoming tax year.
What's great about it: I'm learning more about my choices and how they impact my taxes.
What's not so great: Takes some time to work through the sections.
