Tough Year

Turbo Tax walked me through all of the changes that the divorce brought up. The selling of my home, the division of all of my assets, including my retirement fund. The best part is that I'm not paying an accountant to ask me the questions that this program does. I recommend Turbo Tax to all of my family...even my EX.
What's great about it: This years TirboTax was very helpful as my wife of 43 years divorced me.
What's not so great: Still have to pay to file state.

Simple and easy

First full year of retirement and transition was easy. No issues except schedule C for a 1099-Misc royalty income seemed unnecessary ...... but my guess is that this is the governments fault.
What's great about it: straight forward questions
What's not so great: forms (especially schedule C) can be confusing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax Delux

By questions and answers you can make the tax prep, finalization, and submission easy. What I would like is a form go to options, so when forms arrive and/or are down loaded (seems like everything is internet driven today) you can type the form number and have the program go directly to that data entry, rather than the go to subject that it now has.
What's great about it: Makes taxes easy and ensures that taxes done correctly

Turbo Tax is the best!!!

I have been using Turbo Tax for about 20 years now and have seen the program go from cumbersome and difficult to use to smooth and efficient and incredibly user-friendly. It lets me pick and choose which topics I want to work on, effectively allowing me to skip those that have no relevance to me. I love that my data is transferred from last year's return, thereby eliminating the chance of forgetting or miscopying something. I feel so much more more in control and knowledgeable of my tax situation since I started using Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Transfers last year's data; walks me through the process; easy and efficient
What's not so great: Very rarely I am unsure of what to check.

Simple to use!

Once I got Turbotax installed I was done with my taxes in 1 hr, and my return had a lot of things to input. I had issues installing the program from CD on Windows 10. I learned from a blog online that windows 10 will eat most of your RAM when using standard settings. A quick change of settings to custom and turbotax finally installed and taxes were done and filed in less than 1 hr. I've used turbotax forever and will continue to use it in the future!
What's great about it: Simple to use, super detailed instructions
What's not so great: Not Turbotaxes fault but installing on Windows 10 is tricky.

It worked.

I had major problems last year with H & R Block software and returned to using TurboTax this year. After spending hours on the phone with technical support last year and ultimately having to figure out a solution on my own, it was nice to have a problem-free tax filing experience this year.
The only trouble I had with TurboTax was that I had to re-enter choices when I went back to proofread.
What's great about it: worked with few problems
What's not so great: proofreading somewhat difficult

Life saver!!

I did my own taxes for the first time and wasn't sure if I had all the right correct documents. Turbo Tax made it so easy for me and went step by step to help me understand what I was doing. I got all my taxes done in one day! I could't be happier.
What's great about it: Quick and painless
