I would recommend turbo tax, very easy to do your own taxes.
What's great about it: very easy to follow
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Used Turbo Tax for 15 years now, wouldn't use any other.

printing errors on mac

i ran into an extremely frustrating problem where I wanted to print and mail my state's tax returns but could not because each time I printed the file, or alternatively, tried to save the file as a PDF, none of the numbers carried over and what printed was a page with a bunch of small squares in place of the numbers. last years' turbotax software did not do this. I am very angry.
What's great about it: quick completion time
What's not so great: couldn't print

The process is so easy that you can stop and start when you find you don't have the documents you need. The support questions and answers help to understand your requirements clearly
What's great about it: Thank goodness there is an easy way to process taxes.
What's not so great: Needed the Deluxe package to understand the new state form

Get your information together and just transfer it into turbo tax.
Since Turbo tax carries over what was done the previous year, you might catch an item that you missed.
What's great about it: Simple taxes are a breeze
What's not so great: K-1 form not easy
Pros: I bought or sold investments
