I have used TurboTax for many years and until about 3 years ago it was very simple and consistent each year.
TurboTax looked at my previous years filing, ask me if anything had changed, if it had not, then it took about an hour to enter new numbers and move on to filing.
NOT NOW, it now takes me through every detail in the software and the questions are a lot more complicated.

It needs to be easier!
What's great about it: I prefer to do this at home when I get a chance. It's convenient!
What's not so great: Way to complicated!

Great Product

This is the only tax return software I have used the past 12 years. It is easy to use and really makes it easy to complete and file your taxes. Everything you need is there at your fingertips.
What's great about it: Easy to Use
What's not so great: Nothing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I had one obstacle - whether I could write off "new registration" fees in Iowa. I did find out I could on federal but not on my state taxes. Little things like that - new registration fees vs registration fees and knowing which one can be used and which one can not. To TurboTaxes credit I did find the answer on their site.
I guess if that is the worst of my problems it all went well....

The only thing I feel could be improved in TurboTax is the placement of the Back, Continue and Yes & No Buttons. When I review each section, the placement of the buttons bounce up, down and sideways, necessitating having to continually look at the button to make certain I will be pressing it. I would like to see the buttons placed above the content for the page and be made stationary so that once the cursor is placed in the correct spot, you can concentrate on the content of the page without having to continually be moving your eyes. A small detail, yes, but one that would make TurboTax even easier to use.
Also, in the "Just a Few More Details . . . " section of this review, add "Retired".

2015 Tax Filing

Good Program. LONG time user. Will continue to use. BUT... notice this year the comparison section of my personal income/tax situation to that of U.S. Averages is missing? Enjoyed that piece. BRING IT BACK!
