A breeze

Using Turbotax every years makes things easy, especially for tracking IRA basis, comparisons, etc. Importing W2 or Brokerage forms eliminates errors of manual entry. You can switch back and forth from a guided "interview" to either the specific forms or overall menus to pick topics to go back to or understand better.
What's great about it: Import forms and transfer from older returns makes taxes easy and fast

TurboTax Deluxe

I've used TurboTax Deluxe the past 5 years and cannot imagine using any other program! It makes doing taxes so easy. I love it and look forward to using it next year!
What's great about it: Easy to use & gives you step by step instructions
What's not so great: none that I can think of

I have been using Turbo Tax for myself and my family for over 10 years. Always easy to navigate through the State and Federal Taxes. Easy to use.

one problem area+

Did my taxes return not a big deal this year, for once. Then came the pin# not much said about it and that it should be recorded for future use (next year). Being dumb I did not record it. so this year I made up new ones.. No smart still trying to file electronic and have not yet third time around and still hoping.
Looked in my old records IRS 1040 paper and no record of PIN#. Suggest yhou save it somewhere where we can find it or tell you subscribers to record the numbers and don't change one year to the next as I did.

Don't ever get free State E-File Return

For the last two years we have not gotten the free state e-file that the program says we should get. Very dissatisfied with this.

Ten for Ten

This is the tenth year that I have used Turbo Tax, and I never had a problem, or an audit from the IRS. I like the fact that if you used Turbo Tax in the past, it fills much of the information in automatically from the previous year which cuts down on the amount of time it takes to complete your taxes. and walks you through each situation to help you get the biggest refund possible, or lower the amount that you owe.
I and my spouse are now retired. but In the past when we were both working we received some of the biggest tax refunds for our situation that we have ever received.
We owe it all to Turbo Tax.
Friends and family that used accountants or tax preparers for their taxes in the past, have cost them a heap of money to complete their taxes. After telling them about Turbo Tax and how easy it was to use. I lent them my copy of Turbo Tax to try for them selves. They now use Turbo Tax every year just as I do and they can't believe how easy it is. They thank me every time they see me for steering them in the Turbo Tax direction.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Non that I had
