Glad Health Insurance Didn't Cause Me to pay

I have been using Turbo Tax for two decades and one cannot beat the ease of completing taxes. just throw all your tax documents in a folder throughout the year, access Turbo Tax and you should be done in less than an hour.
What's great about it: Easy to file return, just follow all the prompts
What's not so great: Can't think of any.

TurboTax is a life saver. Saves time and money. I can work on my taxes when I want to. I used to do my taxes myself with the help of spreadsheets I created. But then things just got too complicated. I love TurboTax. The only part that is still complicated for me is the car expenses connected with work. But I seem to manage to get through it.
What's great about it: simple, easy overall
What's not so great: the car expenses for work are somewhat complicated

Did it myself this year

Been using an accountant for past several years and decided to try myself since my tax profile changed. Found it to be relatively easy.
What's great about it: fairly easy to understand
What's not so great: Found I wasted time getting info together that didn't apply because I did not have itemized deductions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

SUPER GREAT PROGRAM

I have been using the TURBO TAX DELUXE for well over 20 years. It has been very easy to use and has saved me a lot of time and money. The cost of the program is a whole lot less than going to someone to do your taxes and any answer to a question is always at your fingertips

Related to CON: I printed Federal return for review prior to e-File. I selected continue after the forms printed. At that point I did a file save and got out of turbo tax so we could manually review the return. Note, I did not "quit" Turbo Tax. When I returned, I reselected (clicked twice) for turbo tax to tell me to continue where I left off, BUT it brought up a new option to start from the begining as if I did not process a return. Of course I freaked!. I backed off and totally quit and shutdown turbo tax. Restarted and it worked fine, Whew.... Otherwise it went fine this year.
What's great about it: It worked without problems this year.
What's not so great: Saving return just prior to submitting e-File. (see review)

Muddy waters fees

The program is thorough and the prompts are great. But, too many hidden fees. A fee to download, a fee to e-file, a fee to process refunds. It would be nice to know the bottom line ahead of time, I felt like I had no choice after I started. I felt gouged in the pocketbook. Another problem was when I went to do my state taxes there was an issue with the program insisted that I file for 2 states, which was not necessary for me. Just because I was employed in 2 different states I did not need to file both. Frustrating!
What's great about it: great prompts
What's not so great: Many hidden fees hidden
