What's great about it: easy to follow
What's not so great: the payment windows jumped around
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

It's The Easiest Way To File

I am a retired teacher/administrator and I have used turbo tax for over 20 years. During that time I have had to refile twice (because of my own mistakes), and turbo tax was so easy to use.
I wouldn't use any other tax preparing method.

For example, I did not understand when asked what I did with the money I received from my annuity. It was confusing because I also have a TSP account with the government, which is similar to a 401(k) account. So, I wasn't sure what money I was being asked about. After submitting different answers and reviewing the results, I think I figured it out. I think all sections should have the "learn more" option and provide a more detailed explanation.

Erases info if you go back

Had to enter my cars registration fees a couple of times and my daughter's lived with us for the whole year.
What's great about it: Fast and Easy
What's not so great: Erase Info at times and you have to re-enter it

2015 TT experience

Filing fee for State taxes is excessive. Much cheaper for me to print out and mail myself.
Kept telling me that I entered too many characters for state employer ID, when I entered exactly what was in the box on the W 2 form.
What's great about it: Very fast.
What's not so great: Do not care for all the extras you keep trying to sell throughout the process.

Unexpected Refund

As a non-traditional student, I didn't expect a refund, but by using TurboTax, I should receive a nice unexpected refund.
What's great about it: "Guided tour" through all aspects of income and expenses.
