Lot's of help

I have been using Turbo Tax for a long time, maybe 8 to 10 years and it seems to make doing my taxes pretty simple.
What's great about it: mostly easy to use and carries your info forward year to year
What's not so great: some area are confusing, but this is more onthe tax code

Make the programmer work harder!

I've relied on TurboTax for many years ... ever since I got tired of heading to a Post Office for one more form.
In the latest incarnations of TurboTax, some input windows include too little information. It would be great to have more input fields into windows, and tighten the spacing, so that you wouldn't have to do so much scrolling and clicking "Continue" so often. (This issue is ubiquitous to the user interface, because it's easier for computer programmers with limited knowledge of efficient design and ergonomics. This is NOT unique to TurboTax in any way.)
FYI ... this review asks such questions as whether or not the reviewer has kids. I have a 33-year-old daughter, and she is not a dependent, so either answer does not clearly reflect what type of customer I am. So, no kids (to support or reflect on my tax return), or I have kids (except that I only have one). More thoughtful design, please?
What's great about it: Gets the job done just fine.
What's not so great: Un-ergonomic user interface.

Hard to Follow

Found this year's program more difficult to navigate than in the past. The final calculations seemed to be interspersed with buying the Audit Defense, being asked if you wanted part of the refund to go into a pension plan, etc. It would be much more helpful if final math checks were completed before the various sales pitches.
What's great about it: -It covers all credits and deductions; It's convenient to compare current year's return with the year previous
What's not so great: Difficult to navigate back and forth to different sections; Sometimes the requested info was not clear

I love this software it takes much less time than doing it with the Tax book and paper forms. I love that each question offers additional information for clarity.
