Excellent, As Usual

I've been using TurboTax for probably 25 years now. The program was a little rocky back in 1990, but it has steadily improved. The last few years I have had no hiccups at all. You need to have your documentation ready, but that should go without saying. In any case, each step makes clear what, if any, specific documents you need. My tax profile is relatively uncomplicated, and I can run through Federal and my State in an afternoon. Then, eFiling is quick and easy. I have just eFiled on 02/03/2016, and was ready a week ago. I delayed only for my own convenience. I'm staying with Intuit / TurboTax!
What's great about it: Easy to Use, Fast and Convenient, Dependable
What's not so great: None that I found

Doing my own taxes

Due to complications from the death of a family member, we used a tax preparer for the past 4 years. Since those "complications" no longer exist, we decided to go back to using your program and, with the standard deduction being what it is, were able to complete our taxes in less than 4 hours. It seemed to go very fast!
My only suggestion is that there be a list of possible documents needed to complete the return, i.e., car registrations, medical expenses, internet purchases, etc.
What's great about it: Far easier than previous years
What's not so great: Doesn't tell me what additional information I need to have prior to starting

Good ole turbo Tax

I have been using Turbo Tax for about 25 years now and I must say that when I became fully aware of how to navigate around the program, it really became a dream to work with.
What's great about it: Extremely easy to work with and the program staays up to date on all tax matters.
What's not so great: Can't think of one right now.

Great Software

I used this software for over 7 years now. It has walked me through many different circumstances. Now that I no longer own a home, I use the Deluxe version. It even handled my State pension exceptions.
What's great about it: Easy to Follow
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I lost about $300 because it was impossible to go back and make changes to the big ticket items for state sales tax.
What's great about it: easy to use and understand
What's not so great: can't go back and make corrections after finished cost me money

This simply is a great product. Does all the work for you and then some. I can't imagine doing this all by hand as I used to. Was able to finish all the "paper work' in a very short amount of time even though I have tons of itemized deductions.
What's great about it: Very easy to work with!
What's not so great: I hate doing taxes LOL
