I love TurboTax

TurboTax is an excellent software program to use year after year. It can pull out your information from the previous year saving you lots of time and effort. I have used TurboTax for VERY MANY YEARS and am very pleased except when they increased their prices last year.
What's great about it: It's a great way to do your taxes and feel confident they are being done right.
What's not so great: I haven't liked their increased cost

Turbo Tax Rocks!

I would recommend Turbo Tax to anyone who does or doesn't have tax experience, as it does a good job of explaining each category.
What's great about it: Saves all information for tax audit purposes, walks you thru each step.
What's not so great: Very lenghty process; not fun!

The time it took to do the forms and read all the directions as you go is very time consuming. Perhaps not using the the questionnaire may be faster. but you have to have some knowledge of the tax forms needed.
What's great about it: Easy to follow directions if you know tax forms
What's not so great: Some direction were not quite clear

Quick filing time. Just had some issues when printing forms. Had black lines across in several places. Overall, great though.

Descent software - it knows the law and helps you do your taxes correctly. some of the explanation boxes really did not explain anything.
What's great about it: step by step is the way to go to touch on all topics
What's not so great: if you go to a form to add additional info - you get stuck in step by step & have to repeat info you have already entere

Only real negative was that my 2014 info did not transfer to my 2015 return. That would have saved me some time. Being guided thru the topic was easy to follow.
What's great about it: Guided easily thru the topics
What's not so great: Did not transfer my 2014 info. Don't know why. Cost to much to e-file my state return.
