Navigation issues

Glad to have this software for doing my taxes. The one thing that could use improvement is the navigation in a form and between forms. Maybe I'm missing something but it is hard to move around in a form. Often have to tab through every previous box to fill a new box. The slider on the right hand margim is hard to use on a Mac.
Also hard to move around the whole form or to make changes and then want to return to where you left off.

Great but something missing

There's a worksheet needed to adjust mortgage interest deduction (tables 1 and 2 of Publication 936). Turbo Tax didn't help me with that. I pointed me to the IRS website and I had to do the worksheet by hand without any of the helpful commentary from Turbo Tax. Shocked!
What's great about it: The only way I could even think about doing my own taxes is with Turbo Tax
What's not so great: Missing the step-by-step process to adjust mortgage interest deduction if you have a mortgage over $1M

Handles complex cases well!

It's great that TurboTax handles my tax situation so well. I've got lots of tax events going on each year in my return: in addition to the usual W-2 income, interest/dividends and capital gains, we file 3 Schedule C's, as well as a Schedule E with both real estate and K-1 income, Qw also file 2 state returns in addition to the Federal. The software now handles the multi-state impacts well...much better than a few years ago!
I use the data import feature from brokerage firms and mutual funds...it's a real time-saver!
Also, the integration of ItsDeductible works great for all the clothing and household items we give away to Goodwill and Vietnam Veterans of America.
That said, there are a few obscure items that take some effort to figure out. For example, I have some state taxes paid on my behalf by a partnership, as a pass-through entity. It took some time to figure out the sequence of pull-down menus that would get me to the correct field to enter this information. (Note, I use forms to enter most information, not step-by-stap.) But this is a minor point, overall.
Once you get through the process of using TurboTax the first time, it goes so much quicker the second year that you won't want to do tax returns any other way!

Definitely maxed my refund!

I've been using Turbo for 10 years, and each year it seems to get easier. Thank you for putting the Schedule back in Deluxe that you moved over to Premier last year as that was a big pain for the 2014 filing and very unexpected.
I have always found the support team to be very friendly and knowledgeable. My only complaint is that I can no longer use Turbo on my desktop computer because of my XP Pro 64-bit operating system. I had to purchase a laptop several years ago for the sole purpose of "doing" my taxes.
Overall, I'm a very satisfied customer and plan on using Turbo again next year. Thanks for a great product!

What's not so great: Some items are still confusing when they show up on a line that does not seem to agree with the IRS instruction booklet.

Eased my preparation

Overall great product. Frustrating to have information filled in that later needed to be removed, with no way to remove it. The end result was that the number was on the form, but was not included in the total--so just used white out
What's great about it: Depreciation simplified
What's not so great: Difficult to correct a specific mistake
