There's a lot to like about TurboTax 2015 - it seems much easier to use than in the past (although I've used it for many years), it seems "cleaner," with fewer blind alleys, improved guidance and far fewer distracting paths of complexity, and it feels more stable and reliable, with far fewer surprises. In fact, the 2015 version is so good that it almost made filing a return to be enjoyable, if that were actually possible. I was, however, surprised to find that it did not support filing electronically if reporting withholding without a W-2, 1099, etc. That, however, is not common - we've never had it happen before, but some strange circumstances were present, so we'll plan to continue using TurboTax, regardless. Keep up the good work!!

Couldn't live without it

I've been using TurboTax for as long as it's been around, and haven't found a need for anything else. I'm an sole proprietor with a variety of business and personal expenses. TurboTax carries forward all of the relevant information from the previous year, so I only need to review it each year. When new rules come out, I can use the detailed interviews, or enter directly into the forms myself. It's cheaper than hiring a tax preparer, and I actually trust TurboTax to stay on top of IRS changes than would a single person..

Been Using for over 20 years!

Turbotax is the only way to go! If you answer the questions honestly and accurately, your tax return will be flawless and you and the IRS will be happy! I have been using Turbotax for 20+ years, and year after year, they make more improvements to keep us on track and in check!
What's great about it: Easy, accurate, powerful, trustworthy
What's not so great: Nothing bad about it!

Another year filed without incident

The product made filing my 2015 return pretty straightforward. I've used the product for may years, so I'm pretty familiar with the process. My only concern is that since I still run on WinXP, I'm either going to have to use the online version (assuming it meets all my needs) or look at other products next year. TG

What's not so great: some steps required going back through the process

Great tax help, Turbo! Although the actual time was consuming, it was much easier than trying to do the math myself, and a good value in cost.
What's great about it: covered all needed components and checked everything
What's not so great: a little difficult figuring out what was asked at times

2015 Extension

Turbo tax would benefit from a pre-tax worksheet or check list that is provided before the actual input of the numbers. This would help me from stopping and then going back to run reports in Quicken or review my bank account information. In most cases the information was available in another form but the required format was what I needed to do. Having the work sheet may eliminate or at least minimize this work. Also having It's Deductible as a pre-task makes deductions extremely easy and should be noted before Turbo Tax is intiated.
What's great about it: Clear documentation, community help, step-by-stp process.
What's not so great: State tax review was minimal after federal. Was not aware of any savings.
