What's great about it: the step by step is easy to follow
What's not so great: should make info from previous years files easier to import

I've been using Turbo Tax for almost 10 years now and have found it to be a very good product, always being improved upon! The times I've had to call customer service have been dealt with very professionally and in a timely manner. I recommend the product to friends, customers and family. My youngest daughter just used it for the first time this year and found it very easy to use.
What's great about it: Transfer of previous personal info was error free, quick to load even on my old PC and got me the optimal refunds.
What's not so great: It's probably my PC but when logging off on a certain part of a return on returning you have to start over.

I have used for years. I feel confident when filing that I have done correctly. Half the work is done when it transfers previous years return.
What's not so great: Gets a little complicated if you change computers from 1 year to the next

Turbo Tax is easy to use if your tax situation is not complicated.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate, edit and review. I like the "Jump to" feature--makes it much easier to find certain forms.
What's not so great: The K-1 form questions and references to boxes did not match the K-1 I received from my accountant.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I am not organized to pull my papers together on time and thus talk an extension every year which immediately lowers my stress...then wait to the last few days of the extension period to do them in mid-Oct, so I am right back on that stress treadmill. And, this tax year I lost my job and piece-mealed any bits of work that I could get, so for a year of very low income my taxes were ironically even more complex! But thanks to turbotax I got through in doing them as usual, and thanks to the solid, patient customer service they held my hand when I needed to import my file into the CD version...that action as definitely not intuitive. The service agent DID NOT DO ANY OF THESE THINGS that customer service line agents can typically do: attempt to rush me off the phone, make me feel stupid with a sarcastic tone of voice when replying to my questions, make me ask 20 questions and respond in deadpan voice because I didn't ask the full question that I meant to, even when they know what I meant. Oh, and they have a way to shadow your screen and walk you though things, and a little video window pops up so you can see the agent live and talking to you. So in summary, this professional, helpful customer service line rocks and was super appreciaited.
What's great about it: solid, patient customer service; easy interview questions; plentiful hyperlinks to explain things (definitions etc.)
What's not so great: I needed customer service to import on the CD version
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Finally, I filed an extended return. When trying to eFile, I couldn't obtain my AGI because I hadn't printed a copy of my return. That means no eFiling. I spent more time trying to get that information than I did completing the return itself. Never got it! The IRS website experienced problems and Turbo Tax would not give me a copy unless I paid for it. I have paid once already, and I don't know why I have to pay again. So...good old paper and snail mail for me.
What's great about it: Walked me through the process and asked all the questions
What's not so great: When finished, getting to view the return was cumbersome, not intuitive.
