My Go-To Tax Software

TurboTax has been my tax software for over 10 years. Clear, logical way to enter data with multiple options for approaching things. Accurate. Love the running total!
No reason to switch for 2016 taxes
What's great about it: Easy to use - backup detail available

Incomprehensible efile questions

Gave up on e File...TT kept requiring entries that I could not correct nor source. Gave up and mailed in.
Charged me for state e file that refused to do, because would not let me e file Federal return. Had credit card company block payment.

What's great about it: Adds and subtract quickly
What's not so great: Cannot eFile with out Turbo Tax "may I"

Put my mind ar ease for extended filing

What's great about it: Extremely easy to use
What's not so great: hard to get extension form before prepaing return
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have used Turbo Tax for years and I simply love it.
You do not have to have any tax knowledge before you use it.

Its the best tool by far for doing your own taxes.
What's great about it: Speed, computations and step by step allows you to see each item.
What's not so great: Online help seems to have problems with Windows 10, doesn't work all the time

The Right Tax Form For Tax Payer

You should automatically input the tax information in the right form when the data that was input indicates that the 1040EZ will better match the information about the Tax Payor. For instance, I input that the individual was single, no dependent and did not own a home or business and therefore with that type of information, the software should have used the 1040EZ Tax Form, not a 1040
