TurboTax Long Time User

I've been using TurboTax for years, ever since a neighbor told me about it over 12 years ago. I was leary I could do it myself, but if you can read, you can file your own taxes. I trust TurboTax over an Accountant as I know some Accountants that have made mistakes that I believe TurboTax wouldn't have made. I also like how you can read posts from the TurboTax community.
What's great about it: EASY!
What's not so great: You only get 1 free efile so if you do your grandparents taxes, they have to pay to e-file unless they buy their own.
Pros: I had a baby, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

What's not so great: Capital gain entry is extremely user unfriendly. There is surely a better way than current procedure.

got it done with some problems

This was final return for my deceased aunt. For some reason, apparently because she was deceased, the PIN number I had wasn't accepted and I couldn't get a new one. The next option was to "correct" the AGI for 2014 return. Everything I checked showed I had the correct 2014 AGI entered. So I filed for an extension (no tax was due) and waited til now (October) to try and get a new PIN. When I tried, it said it was no longer possible to get PINs for 2016. So I was about to print out the returns and send in by mail, when I decide to try one more thing, i.e., entering the 2015 AGI. Apparently that was what it really needed, because then it wrapped up and allowed me to e-file the returns. I just hope they don't get rejected again.
What's great about it: led me through the process, used data from previous returns
What's not so great: return was rejected due to PIN change and error in Turbo Tax

TurboTax is THE BEST !

I've been using TurboTax for over 15 years. I've asked Tax experts to review my taxes done by TurboTax, and they tell me that they could not have done them better.
What's great about it: Easy to Use. Using TurboTax for more than 15 Years. Always so Easy!

There are parts that are still confusing in data entry but overall I have been using for decades and am still an addicted user of Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Relatively fast, certainly better than manual
What's not so great: Only one State return. I have four working people living at home.

Problem printing and trouble with a k-1

Certain forms would not print, others messed up in certain lines
one k-1 was almost impossible to put in without error messages and looking for info not in the k-1

late but super

turbotax always has the answer or finds it for you. I have been using it for over many years and the only problem I have had has been when I get a new computer and it changes from Windows 8 to Windows 10 and some things get lost for an 82yr old man
What's great about it: used turbotax for 20 yrs with super results
What's not so great: they can't seam to make the goverment un as smooth
