TurboTax is easy to use ... but when there are errors it's hard to figure out why

Great Software Overall

Overall, great software! Have used this for years and will continue to use. Parts of the interview, however, are weak, especially at the state-level interview; more clarification, examples and definitions are needed here. Also, the software should be able to do a better job of tracking line items (income, deductions, etc) that were associated with a specific person in the Federal section when information is ported over to the state section.
What's great about it: Easy to use; very thorough
What's not so great: Parts of the interview are weak and need improvement

TurboTax may have cost me a late fee

I e-filed with TurboTax on 4-1-16. Today, on 6-6-16 I check why my refund has not arrived. IRS has no record of my return. Log in to TurboTax and they say my return was rejected 2 months ago... I never received a notice. Never again will I use TurboTax.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: No notification that return was rejected
Pros: I had a baby

While downloading info from institutions are possible, it was not possible to get from Chase Bank, which is one of the biggest banks. That made me spend a lot of time to transcribe data.
What's great about it: Guides through steps
What's not so great: Did not help me clearly on FinCen filing

Overall good Had to research how the carryover worked for the solar program.

Not my favorite

I hate feeling trapped in the process. I want to see my actual forms at any given time. I want to see how my information is affecting the forms. I have done hundreds of tax returns. This system is very frustrating. It seemed worse this year.
What's great about it: explains tax questions if you need it
What's not so great: I want to see the actual forms when I want.
