Health Insurance headaches

I was about to print my return and upon review noticed the Healthcare section was filled out incorrectly (all the months were checked instead of the single all year covered box and the yes gap was checked). I had to go into all four family member personal info worksheet to manually check the correct box and uncheck the incorrect boxes. Then I manually navigated to the interview section to be sure the related questions were answered right and went to forms to check the "yes" box for covered all year that was separate from the personal info worksheet.
I had another issue that took extra time--my kids had to file their own return although they are only 7 and 4. I wanted to verify that was accurate. It took quite a bit of looking for this verification. I finally found it, but it wasn't easy.
Other than these two trouble areas, I really enjoy using Turbo Tax to prepare my returns. It gives me confidence it is done right and educates me along the way too. Thanks!
What's great about it: I really like to have control to work on subjects as I choose!
What's not so great: Health Insurance info didn't fill in right. I had to manually fix it.

Les's 2015 Review of Tubro Tax

I have found Turbo Tax to be easy to work with 98% of the time.
I would recommend it for anyone who is planning to file their own taxes, as I have since 1951 upon graduating from high school. I believe it is the best product to be had for filing a tax return.

What's great about it: I have found Turbo Tax to be a big help in filing my yearly tax return and have used same for the last 16 years.
What's not so great: If there is a negative, it would probably be help with closing out a limited partnership. Which I had three this year.

TurboTax is okay

TurboTax is okay. My wife and I used TurboTax before we got married, and it's a decent tax software. However, TurboTax can't merge the 2 single returns, so it's like we are starting from scratch and have lost our tax history. This can be overlooked, but my biggest gripe is with K1s. TurboTax handles them poorly. My recommendation - if you got K1s, don't use TurboTax. I'm not sure if I'll be using TurboTax next year.
What's great about it: Carries over from past years
What's not so great: Can't merge returns and handles K1s poorly
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Changes to 2015 Turbo Tax are Horrible!

I have used Turbo Tax for many years. Starting with the changes in what was offered at the onset, the 2015 TurboTax Deluxe program has been a disaster for small business accounting. I'll certainly be looking for an alternative for my 2016 taxes.
What's great about it: None, that I can think of
What's not so great: More time consuming; more expensive; really lousy for small business

Talked with two tax experts and they were great; answered all of my questions and gave me some great advice for the future.
What's great about it: Fun to do, great extra info to explain what the deduction is or is not.
