Too cumbersome

You need to be a CPA to understand why all those irrelevant questions are being asked. It is far too much for the average person. Lacerte is far easier.

Amazing!

Everything was easy to use and I was able to fill it all out quickly. I could not connect to the server to pay, so I called and had a wonderful woman who was so helpful. Great experience!
What's great about it: Everything was easy and quick.
What's not so great: Connectivity Issue
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Took 4 months to transmit

Bought online and will NEVER do this again. Have used TuboTax for since beginning and this time transmission would not go after many, many attempts. Print not option. Traveling and finally went this month; August 1st, 2016. Problem with program and had to reinstall three times.
What's great about it: Quick as always
What's not so great: Transmission took 4 months

Good for the average person

For the average person this is a very good program but if you have anything out of the ordinary then you have to dig around a bit. I had a 1099C from an old credit card my wife had and we needed to exclude the income due to insolvency. It took some digging and reading but when I finally completed the forms Turbo Tax made the calculation for us. This is pretty unusual but it could happen to you. Not sure H&R Block could have done it either. So much better to do it this way.
What's great about it: Most of the porcess was easy and straight forward
What's not so great: If you have anything out of the ordinary you have to dig
