So Easy n Fast

I love filing my taxes online it is fast and so easy and of course much more affordable than any other tax filing place. I have been filing my own taxes since 2006.

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and will continue to use it.
What's great about it: Easy to follow; thorough in analyzing tax situations; carrys over info from prior year tax return with ease.
What's not so great: May have to go to more expensive version if you own rental real estate
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Good advice

Mostly led me through what I needed, but was still unclear on a few items. Overall TurboTax improves every single year. As my returns get more difficult, the program get more intuitive and clear.
What's great about it: told me to write down an amount for later
What's not so great: couldnt understand some missing form items on review
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy Peezy

Turbo tax makes filing your taxes so easy. If you don't know what to do/what forms to file it'll walk you through all the possible forms/deductions to maximize your return. It also allows multiple family members to use the same software to file their federal taxes saving money. Why pay hundreds of dollars to have a CPA or other tax preparer do your taxes?
What's great about it: is adaptible for those with some knowledge and those with no knowledge for filing their taxes
What's not so great: doesn't allow you to go back to the previous page in some situations

Amazing help, best outcome possible!

I came to the final window when I was to save my return to my computer. The window wasn't big enough for me to be able to scroll down to the "cancel" button selection, and the document was in a perpetual freeze somehow on my Macbook Air so I had to command + alt + esc and BLAM my entire work of minute data entry was GONE. Just like that. I cried and cursed God, then finally sucked it up and reentered EVERYTHING for my Federal Taxes. It worked - and this is the best tax year I have had in nearly 10 years of trying to do it on my own. Thank you TurboTax!!! It was completely worth the effort to get everything entered again.
What's great about it: I just answered the questions and plugged in the numbers. They did the rest!
What's not so great: Doesn't save work in progress if you accidentally close out of the program.

Getting better every year

I've purchased TurboTax for at least 10 years now and I believe the information and data entry is getting better. This year, I was not able to import my information from my last year's filing. This took more time for me to enter. However, I really saved time being able to download my brokerage accounts.
What's great about it: import of brokerage data
What's not so great: no videos this year
