ALL THE INFO I NEED

OVER THE LAST 10 YEARS I HAVE USED TURBOTAX AND FOUND THE EXPERIENCE TO BE ENJOYABLE (JUST STAY AWAY FROM ONLINE VERSION). I USED THE SCHEDULE C INCLUDED IN THE DELUXE VERSION, WHICH WAS ALL THAT I REALLY NEEDED FOR SIMPLE FILING. MY BUSINESS IS A MICRO BUSINESS, NOT EVEN A SMALL BUSINESS. THANX
What's great about it: EASY TO USE
What's not so great: A FEW TIMES NEEDED TO LOOK UP WORD DEFINITIONS
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great tax software!

I've been using TurboTax since the early 1990's and I love it. I had to take over preparing my parents' taxes, which were much more complicated than mine. TurboTax saved me so much time and reduced the confusion of transferring data from one form to another.
The step-by-step option walks you through the entire tax process by answering questions. Or, you can just enter data into specific forms manually. Great product.

Not bad, but annoying flaws

1. I often return to part of my return to review parts of my return, and every time I'm asked "Was this income earned out of the US?" and so on. Why not let me answer it once, and then say, "Has any of this changed?"
2. This year for the first time, I could not click and review entered lists. For example, I entered charitable donations and business expenses which were totaled. Previously I could double click and see the list of what I'd entered. Not always this year!! As near as I could tell from your users forum, I'm not this only one with this problem. UGH!! Fix this, please!!!
What's great about it: Seems to cover everything
What's not so great: If you return to review something, you must answer the idiot questions again and again; FLAW--cannot review stored data

I have used Turbo Tax for the past 10 or more year, I never will again. I first loaded the software about 6 weeks ago and completed about 95 % of the return , saved it . I started to finish the return just before tax day, it asked if I wanted to update the software , agreed , and updated . After that there was nothing at all in the 2015 form , had to start all over again , and none of the data from all the previous years on my computer would transfer . Had to load all the back data manually, it has been a night mare ,never again will I use Turbo Tax. Not at all user friendly as previous years. Bud Green

had to spent one and a half hour to figure out why the updae would not work and why efile will not file with out the update.

2015 Turbo Tax Premium

I would give this five stars except for the Iowa issues. Iowa requires any federal tax refund for the prior year to be entered.
This amount was not transferred over from the prior year and there is no option to enter this during the step by step view. Amount must be entered manually on the form. Turbo Tax was notified previously but has not fixed the problem.
On the plus side, the step by step view is very thorough and allows you to choose only what you need to enter. I found this software easy to install and use.
What's great about it: Good Q&A Section, easy to switch to forms and back, good detail
What's not so great: Issues when filling out state of Iowa return
