Had trouble this year. I have used Turbo tax for ten years. I thought I was done and submitted. Went to check this morning April 26 and it was done but NOT submitted so I am ten days late. Never been late before. I am sure it was operator error (me) but not sure how it happened.
What's great about it: user friendly, quick. downloaded last years' info.
What's not so great: hard to go back and see why an answer affected my return

What's great about it: COULD NOT FIND ONE THIS YEAR
What's not so great: WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO DEAL WITH SPECIAL INCOME AND SOME 401K THAT i HAD TO CASH THIS YEAR
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Easy Filing

I have used Turbo Tax for more years than I can remember. It is an excellent product that covers all of my situations without undue jargon or extra knowledge required. The only recommendation for improvement that I have is that I would like the charity deduction section to be able to be sorted alphabetically. My wife and I give to different organizations from year to year and the current carry-over is in order previously entered. That's great as long as you never change donations but if you have to add another charity, it goes to the bottom of the list and this can get long over time. Other than that, a great product.
What's great about it: Fast, easy, accurate
What's not so great: Cannot sort charity information

Tax return made easy

Good Flow Thru The Tax System

TurboTax allows you to do your own taxes step by step which in turn helps you to learn about the tax system. Why pay 1,500.00 to someone to save you 500.00. It still cost you 1,000.00 that you will never get back.
What's great about it: The speed and accuracy of doing taxes
What's not so great: The system should not ask a previous return to continue if it has been filed
