Quick and Easy!

I have always enjoyed using TurboTax. It is very simple and less stressful during the most stressful time of the year financially (next to the Holidays, of course).
What's great about it: Very user friendly.
What's not so great: Should have a way to start from scratch, should things get a little complicated..
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Easy to use but you need to have a little knowledge of tax information. You still need to get all your papers in order! lol
What's great about it: Mostly easy to use
What's not so great: Some things are not that easy to understand

I was surprised to see a penalty fee for not paying enough taxes when I reviewed the forms on my won. It was never mentioned in the review process
What's great about it: Orderly and information entries easy to follow
What's not so great: not enough explanation during each process.

Submit nightmare
on April 21, 2016

I thought I had submitted my taxes a week before the due date, but I had only agreed to the financing and printed them. There needs to be clearer information before printing that they have not been submitted yet, only requested to print. I ended up noticing that the money had not been removed from my bank account 3 days after the due date, and went in to see why not. That is when i found out that I had not submitted them officially. Very frustrating.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: confusion of transmission

The charger for my laptop quit working and I had ordered a replacement but it had not arrived. Since I had the disk, I dragged out an old PC that had XP for an OS and TurboTax loaded up just fine. Good luck on my part because it WON'T work with XP next year. I signed in to my account but I could not transfer my personal information. I had to re-enter my information and everything went smooth.....until I tried to e-file. Since i did mot have my PIN or the previous year's AGI my returns kept getting rejected. Five times. After two trips to the IRS website for new pins and a phone call to the IRS for my AGI I finally succeeded. I don't know if it was the right combination or the right timing but my return was ACCEPTED on the 21st instead of the 18th.
What's great about it: EASE OF USE
What's not so great: HARD TO RECOVER INFO FROM PREVIOUS YEARS
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Using Surface and Windows 10, the program always closed to title bat at bottom of screen when it changed actions. This is very annoying. This extra step when a window closed took extra time and was confusing.
What's not so great: always closes window to title bar
